Description QuantumDiamonds is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to help build the supply chain behind the next stage of our growth. We are moving from highly complex prototype systems towards repeatable production and global customer deployments. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of the supply chain for our hardware systems, connecting Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and our suppliers. You will translate product and production plans into clear supply requirements, anticipate risks before they impact our builds, and help develop the processes and supplier setup needed to scale from individual systems to repeatable production. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys both building scalable supply chain structures and solving the operational challenges that come with scaling complex hardware. Who we are Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our strong, international team of over 70, including physicists, engineers, data scientists, and other experts, works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, supporting chip debugging and accelerating yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programs, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing. Why join Quantum Diamonds? Picture this: - Quantum sensors that see inside the most advanced chips on Earth, right where two frontier fields collide. - Nobel-Prize physics aimed at real customers with real problems, in production now, not someday. - Physicists, data scientists, and engineers building side by side, turning deep science into tools the industry actually runs on. - An international team that runs at hard problems for fun, where knowledge moves fast and so do you. Still unsure about why joining us? - You'll get to build a company together with a brilliant and welcoming team on a product that has never been done before. - From Day 1, you'll own your own topics end to end and see the direct impact of your work on how the world sees QuantumDiamonds. - Our technology is the cutting edge of tomorrow, starting today and not in 10 years. - You’ll be part of a high-growth company backed by top-tier investors. Let’s make the invisible visible! What will you do - Take end-to-end supply chain ownership for one or more of our hardware product lines, from prototype and pilot builds through industrialization and repeatable production. - Build our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process from scratch, turning sales forecasts, planned customer deployments and production requirements into one aligned supply plan across materials, supplier capacity and production, in close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Engineering and Production. - Ensure critical components are available when needed, balancing lead times, inventory, cost and supply risk. - Build visibility across demand, open orders, inventory, shortages and supplier capacity — and proactively address risks before they impact production. - Define and track the KPIs that matter, from forecast accuracy and delivery reliability to supplier performance, inventory turns and material costs, using these insights to drive decisions and continuous improvement in regular S&OP reviews with leadership. - Develop resilient supply strategies for complex hardware components across optics, photonics, precision mechanics, electronics and other high-spec materials. - Work closely with Procurement on supplier selection, sourcing strategies and supplier performance, while building strong operational relationships with key suppliers. - Partner with Engineering, Production and Quality on BOM maturity, design changes, component availability, manufacturability and material readiness. - Build and continuously improve our ERP/MRP and supply planning processes, including lead times, planning parameters, inventory strategies and material data. - Identify single-source dependencies, long-lead items and capacity constraints and establish appropriate mitigation strategies. - Help shape how Supply Chain Management develops at QD as our product portfolio, production volumes and global footprint grow. What is expected of you - 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, material planning or operations within a hardware environment. - Proven experience taking end-to-end ownership of complex hardware supply chains, ideally from development or industrialization into repeatable production. - Strong experience with supply and material planning, inventory, lead-time and shortage management. - Experience managing suppliers and complex supply chains with long-lead, custom or high-spec components. - Strong understanding of how Engineering, Procurement, Production and Quality work together to industrialize hardware. - Solid experience with ERP/MRP systems, BOMs and inventory management. - You are analytical and structured, but equally comfortable getting hands-on, making decisions with incomplete information and solving problems as they arise. - You communicate clearly and can align internal teams, suppliers and leadership around priorities and risks. Nice to have: Experience in semiconductors, photonics, optics, precision instrumentation or another complex hardware industry, as well as experience scaling from prototypes or low-volume builds towards series production. Our benefits - Mission: At QD, we’re driven by more than just building great products - we aim to make a lasting difference. Joining us means contributing to meaningful work that goes beyond business as usual. - Impact & growth: This is an exciting stage of our journey, and your voice matters. You’ll have the chance to shape our culture, influence key decisions, and grow alongside a company that’s scaling fast. - Health & fitness: With a company-sponsored Wellpass membership, you’ll have access to countless gyms, classes, and wellness offers across Germany to stay healthy and active. - Team & culture: We believe the best ideas come when we connect outside the office. From regular off-sites to team events, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive environment. - Well-being & balance: We value rest and recovery. That’s why you’ll enjoy 30 vacation days plus public holidays to recharge and return inspired. - Learning & development: Your growth is our priority. We provide an annual budget dedicated to courses, conferences, or any resources that help you expand your skills. - Ownership & participation: As part of our equity program, you’ll directly share in our success and the value we create together. About us QuantumDiamonds GmbH, headquartered in Munich, Germany, develops and manufactures semiconductor inspection systems based on quantum sensing. Spun out of the Technical University of Munich in 2022, the company uses nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond to map electrical current with micrometer precision inside advanced 2.5D and 3D chip architectures. Nine of the world's ten largest semiconductor manufacturers are engaged with QuantumDiamonds, with systems deployed across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
