Lexroom is building the AI platform where legal work gets done. In just over two years, we've grown from zero to €25M ARR, and today more than 20,000 legal professionals across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Bulgaria rely on Lexroom. We're backed by $73M from Left Lane Capital, Base10 Partners, and Eurazeo, and we're a team of around 300 builders who move fast, say things straight, and own each outcome. Our next goal? Become Europe's most-used legal product. Why Lexroom? - Shape the Standard: Be part of the team setting the benchmark for legal AI in Europe. - Work with the Best: Collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a culture that values competence, curiosity, and ambition. - Deliver Meaningful Results: Your contribution will directly influence how legal professionals work—faster, clearer, and more efficiently. At Lexroom, we leave buzzwords behind. Here, you’ll build something that lasts: a trusted platform, a strong reputation, a new standard for the legal world. Role As a Legal Engineer, you will own the construction, maintenance, and strategic development of our Proprietary Database — the single most important asset behind the reliability our users trust. You'll sit at the intersection of law, product, and AI, acting as the legal mind that: (i) keeps our data accurate, relevant, and defensible; (ii) shapes new product features; (iii) collaborates with AI engineers on improving the AI system's reasoning capability. YOU WILL - Be part of the product team and act as the first expert to shape new features, test and validate the product, applying your legal judgment to verify outputs for accuracy, consistency, and real-world usefulness. - Establish and own the processes that keep the database always updated, relevant, and internally consistent as laws, case law, and regulations evolve. - Be the voice of the user: collect and synthesize feedback from practicing lawyers and translate it into actionable input that steers product development in the right direction. - Collaborate with data annotators and AI Engineers to define and create high-quality validation and training datasets for our AI algorithms, bridging legal substance and technical execution. - Propose and develop with AI Engineers the mechanisms to improve the AI system's ability to analyse a legal request and produce a structured output. - Analyse strategic partnerships to enhance the data included in the product and its features. - Work closely with partners and law firms to define data acquisition priorities and identify the most relevant and authoritative sources for each practice area. - Take ownership of legal domains (e.g. civil, commercial, labour, privacy, banking), becoming the internal subject-matter reference and setting the quality standard for that area. - Set the tone for the team: as one of the first hires in this function, you'll shape how we work, define best practices, and grow and scale with the company while leading by example. WHO YOU ARE - French law degree (Master 2 or equivalent). - 3+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably in civil law. - Fluent in French and English. - A genuine desire to pursue an alternative and challenging career path outside traditional practice, in a fast-growing, high-ownership environment. - Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail. - Outstanding problem-solving skills. - Clear communicator, comfortable acting as a "translator" between legal requirements and technical teams. - Curiosity about AI and legal technology, and the drive to learn how LLMs and legal data work together (no prior technical/AI experience required). - Strong plus: experience in Legal Engineering, Product or Program Management; master's in Law & Tech. WHAT SETS US APART An Exceptional Team At Lexroom, you'll work alongside top talent in tech and legal AI. Our focused teams operate with purpose and autonomy, so every contribution delivers visible results. You'll collaborate with people who pair innovation with rigor, curiosity with discipline, ambition with depth. Growth that Matters We hire exceptional people to make a difference—and we give them space to lead. Your work will shape the future of legal technology and set new standards for the field. Impact is defined by vision and execution, not by age or title. If you're ready to take responsibility, you'll find real opportunities to grow and lead high-stakes projects. Rewarding Your Contribution - Salary: €45,000–€60,000 gross per year, based on experience. - Equity: an equity package, so you share in the company’s long-term success. BENEFITS THAT MATTER - Mutuelle Alan, titres-restaurant, accès Wellpass (sport et bien-être) - Travail hybride, bureaux à Paris - Team retreats et off-sites At Lexroom, ambition meets discipline and purpose. We're not just building a product—we're setting a new standard for the legal world. If you're ready to contribute to something lasting and meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
