A little about us…Fleetio is a modern software platform that helps thousands of organizations worldwide manage their fleet operations. Transportation technology is a hot market, and we’re leading the charge with raving fans and new customers signing up every day. We raised $450M in our Series D funding round in March of 2025 and are on an exciting trajectory as a company. Fleetio is also a proud founding member of the Rails Foundation! More about our team and company: - Fleetio overview video: - Our careers page: The Product team at Fleetio is expanding and has an opportunity for a Staff Product Manager to lead our connected-vehicle data strategy. In this role, you will own how Fleetio captures and activates real-time data from customers' vehicles from the hardware and data sources it comes from to the products built on top of it, and build a new product line and the business around it, largely from the ground up. Who you are The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial builder who is energized by a blank canvas and knows how to take a big, ambiguous bet from zero to one. You've worked in or close to connected devices, and you're equally comfortable going deep with engineering on how data flows in, negotiating a hardware or data partnership, and figuring out which customer experiences are worth building. You have strong, loosely held opinions, make data-informed decisions, and care as much about reliability and data quality as velocity, because what you build is meant to become mission-critical to how fleets operate. You lead and align through influence, not authority. This role reports to the Director of Product Management. Your impact - Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Fleetio's connected-vehicle data end to end, from how the data gets in to the products built on top of it. - Own Fleetio's connected device strategy. - Build data partnerships that bring telematics, OEM, and connected-vehicle data straight from the source, so fleets can connect. - Take ambiguous, high-potential bets from 0→1: spot the opportunity, form and test hypotheses fast, and ship new partner-driven and connected capabilities from the ground up. - Lead 0→1 discovery and delivery of the experiences this data unlocks: live fleet visualization and mapping, location intelligence and geofencing, vehicle health and sensor insights. - Deepen and grow Fleetio's ecosystem of integrations and strategic partners from the tools fleets already use to OEM and telematics data providers. - Own how this data is standardized so it's trustworthy, comparable, and actionable everywhere it shows up across Fleetio. - Build and own strategic partner relationships, and serve as a credible product leader in front of partners. - Turn complex, real-world data flowing in from partners and connected sources into trustworthy, standardized, and actionable intelligence across Fleetio. - Partner with Design to make connected and partner-driven experiences intuitive, coherent, and genuinely useful. - Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and CX on positioning, launches, packaging, adoption, and retention. - Serve as an ambassador for Fleetio's product and product team, and roll up your sleeves. Your experience - 6+ years in product management, shipping and scaling modern B2B SaaS, with a track record of owning technically complex product areas end-to-end. - A track record of leading ambiguous 0→1 (or early-stage 1→n) bets with meaningful company impact, operating with a high degree of autonomy. - Experience building and managing strategic partner or ecosystem relationships. - A track record of turning a strong technical product into a scaled business through packaging, monetization, and GTM. - Experience with hybrid PLG (product-led growth) and SLG (sales-led growth) motions. - Strategic, analytical, creative, and data-informed in how you work and inform decisions. - Embody our core values of intelligence, intensity, integrity, and ownership. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Design, Computer Science, or relevant field. Considered a plus - Experience with IoT / connected-device data, and the products built on top of it. - Experience in fleet, automotive, transportation, mobility, or vertical SaaS. - Experience with location and geospatial data, mapping, or real-time streaming data at scale. - Experience with marketplace, multi-sided, or platform business models. - Experience with defining and owning a end-to-end product and vision. Benefits - Multiple health/dental coverage options (100% coverage for employee, 50% for family) - Vision insurance - Incentive stock options - 401(k) match of 4% - PTO - 4 weeks (increases at year two!) - 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays - Parental leave - birthing parent (16 weeks paid) non-birthing (4 weeks paid) - FSA & HSA options - Short and long term disability (short term 100% paid) - Community service funds - Professional development funds - Wellbeing fund - $150 quarterly - Business expense stipend - $125 quarterly - Mac laptop + new hire equipment stipend - Fully stocked kitchen with tons of drinks & snacks (BHM only) - Remote working friendly since 2012 Fleetio provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment.
