Applications Developer

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3–5 years of experience in application development, business systems analysis, functional development, systems analysis, or a related role
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technology requirements
• Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, process documentation, and acceptance criteria
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with a team
• Agile/Scrum development experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure services, cloud application environments, integrations, APIs, and cloud security, scalability, and availability concepts is desirable
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 configuration, customization, business processes, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 modules is desirable
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, integrations, and automation, is desirable
• Experience with APIs, integrations, databases, or enterprise applications is a plus
• Familiarity with hosting platforms such as AWS is preferred
• Experience with source control and software development lifecycle practices is beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders to understand their processes, challenges, and technology needs
• Gather, document, and analyze functional and system requirements
• Convert business requirements into clear functional specifications for development and technical teams
• Configure and enhance business applications to meet organizational needs
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business users across the application development lifecycle
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications, and other project documentation
• Contribute functional recommendations to application design discussions
• Support functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
• Identify ways to improve business processes through technology and automation
• Troubleshoot application issues and work with technical teams to determine and resolve root causes
• Support application deployments, releases, and post-production validation
• Assist with data analysis, data validation, and system integrations as needed
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Maintain documentation for applications, processes, configurations, and solutions
• Help identify and address technical debt, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Keep current with Microsoft technologies and recommend solutions that can improve organizational efficiency

This contract-to-hire role is based in Littleton, Colorado, with an initial onsite schedule and a transition to hybrid work after the probationary period, typically 2–3 days onsite. The hourly rate is $50–$55.
