Business Intelligence Developer (Tableau / T-SQL)

Requirements:

• Experience working in a professional services organisation or finance function, with an enquiring and analytical mindset
• Three years experience as a reporting analyst or BI developer
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, including SSMS, and its principles
• Experience with SQL Server and SSRS (Visual Studio)
• SQL query-writing skills, including the ability to write moderately complex queries to retrieve or update data
• Experience prioritising tasks and communicating directly with stakeholders
• Experience using Tableau to design and maintain dashboards is preferable
• Ability to cross-check results, ensure data quality and resolve errors
• Ability to present data clearly and coherently

Responsibilities:

• Manage a support ticketing system for report requests from business stakeholders
• Extract key management information and data from internal systems using SQL and Power Query
• Assess information for reasonableness, data quality and accuracy
• Design, amend and maintain SQL queries that support systematic reporting across platforms, as well as ad hoc reporting and data extraction
• Define and maintain a catalogue of standard reports, using it as a reference for future requests and to identify gaps in available information
• Support the Finance Business Manager in maintaining the suite of management reports on Tableau
• Support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Manager with ad hoc analytical tasks
• Communicate data analysis findings to stakeholders in writing and verbally

In this role, you will work closely with our Finance and Operational teams and report to the Finance Business Manager, collaborating with stakeholders across departments and assessing our reporting and analytics capabilities for potential improvements and efficiencies.
