Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud, Azure/AWS)

Requirements:

• AWS or Google Cloud Platform certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
• 6+ years supporting core AWS and Google Cloud Platform services, including compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, and security
• 3+ years building automation using Python, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager, APIs, and orchestration tools
• 3+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering
• Experience using AI tools and automation to improve operational efficiency
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, cloud-native services, and containerized workloads
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and systems-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet public sector background screening requirements
• Preferred: Experience with an AWS or Google Cloud Platform managed service provider
• Preferred: Production experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Preferred: Experience building AI-powered workflows, automation, and operational solutions
• Preferred: Experience with agentic workflows, AI orchestration, AIOps, observability, and intelligent event correlation
• Preferred: Experience developing RAG or AI-assisted support solutions
• Preferred: Experience troubleshooting complex EKS, AKS, or GKE environments
• Preferred: Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, AI assistants, and platforms such as Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and OpenAI APIs

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose complex operational issues promptly and use cloud architecture knowledge to identify root causes
• Apply AI tools to accelerate investigations and resolutions
• Build automation and AI-driven workflows to reduce repetitive work
• Stay current with evolving AWS and Google Cloud Platform services
• Manage and support cloud-native compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security services
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Google Deployment Manager to enable consistent, repeatable deployments
• Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation for consistent service delivery and knowledge transfer
• Measure and report the results of automation and AI initiatives, including effects on operational efficiency, service delivery, customer experience, and platform reliability
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence through automation and AI-first practices
• Act as the primary technical resource for managed services customers and lead technical discussions with customers and internal account teams
• Communicate with customers about incidents, service requests, maintenance, and change implementations
• Provide high-quality customer service while meeting SLA commitments
• Mentor team members and lead technical initiatives that improve service delivery, efficiency, and engineering practices
• Provide technical leadership during complex incidents, guiding troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions

Compensation is determined by factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs; the stated pay range may change, and compensation is subject to applicable terms and discretion. This role is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
