Data Lake Developer

Requirements:

• Commercial GCP experience, including BigQuery, Dataform, and GCS
• Knowledge of data lake technologies such as Airflow, Kafka, Flink, and Python
• Experience with relational set-based processing using complex SQL queries
• Proven ability to use AI within a production workflow
• Experience working with a data lake or data warehouse platform
• Adaptability in a continually changing and reactive environment

Responsibilities:

• Manage our GCP environment, including BigQuery, Analytics Hub, and Big Lake
• Develop and maintain robust data lake loading processes
• Design processes and standards for GCP products
• Drive the ongoing evolution of departmental standards and ensure development processes are followed
• Create and maintain relevant technical documentation
• Deliver large-scale transformations for business-critical programmes and bespoke improvements for individual users
• Collaborate with teams to improve the performance of our data lake and data warehouse
• Address complex technical challenges while meeting changing business needs and maintaining high standards of work
