Field Application Engineer (FAE)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, field application engineering, or technical deployment of robotics, automation, or IoT products.
• Ability to independently install, configure, network, troubleshoot, and demonstrate technical systems at customer sites.
• Strong presentation and training skills, with the ability to explain complex technology to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organization and execution skills, including managing concurrent deployments and demonstration commitments.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% within an assigned region.
• Preferred: Experience with quadruped or humanoid robotics platforms, ROS, motion-capture, or simulation tools.
• Preferred: Experience providing technical enablement to dealers, resellers, or channel partners.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver product demonstrations and structured proof-of-concept programs for prospective customers across assigned industries.
• Lead on-site system installation, configuration, connectivity setup, and acceptance testing.
• Train customer teams and operators in system use, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Translate customer needs into tailored technical solutions and clear success criteria.
• Manage pre-sales technical questions, troubleshoot field issues, and share structured feedback with product and engineering teams.
• Maintain the regional demonstration fleet, including inventory, equipment condition, firmware readiness, and event logistics.
• Train and support channel partners through technical certification and coaching for initial deployments.
• Represent us at trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events.
• Work closely with regional account managers on active customer opportunities.

We are a well-funded, growth-stage technology company developing a new robotics and AI division and product line. This remote Field Application Engineer role supports our sales engineering team across education, industrial and manufacturing, public safety, and events and hospitality. The position has no sales quota and involves some travel, including substantial travel within an assigned region.
