Hardware Engineer

We are looking for an Electronic Component Engineer with strong knowledge of electronic components to support the development and lifecycle management of our embedded control and embedded I/O systems.

In this role, you will be a key technical resource for component-related topics throughout the product lifecycle. You will support our electronics designers in component selection, evaluation, qualification, and introduction of new components, while ensuring that our approved component database is accurate and up to date.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining the approved electronic component database
• Supporting electronics designers with component selection and qualification
• Driving second-source investigations and verification activities
• Addressing component challenges related to Last Time Buy (LTB), obsolescence, availability, and sourcing
• Coordinating, planning, and following up verification activities performed by electronics engineers
• Working closely with our EMS partners on component-related topics
• Collaborating with engineering teams locally as well as with colleagues in Germany and China

To succeed in this role, you have a solid background in electronics and a strong understanding of electronic components and their application. You combine sound technical judgment with a structured and proactive way of working. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important, as the role involves coordinating activities across different functions, suppliers, and international engineering teams.
