IT Support Specialist

Requirements:

• We seek candidates with at least five years of hands-on support experience.
• A technical or associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Candidates should have strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, the Office suite, and macOS.
• We value enterprise desktop management experience with tools such as ServiceNow and SCCM.
• Candidates should be able to provide remote support to offsite users.
• We require experience with TCP/IP-based services such as DHCP, DNS, and HTTP; networks including LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN; and telephone switches.
• Scripting experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• The client requires candidates to be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders and will not consider candidates who require sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• We rely on this role to install, configure, and maintain the usability of computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
• The specialist will research complex technical problems, identify specifications, install software and hardware, and test computing systems and peripherals within established guidelines.
• We expect the specialist to work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems involving computing equipment and software.
• The specialist will ensure computers connect and work smoothly with related systems, including validation systems, file and email servers, conferencing systems, application servers, and administration systems.
• We expect this role to coordinate with procurement staff to purchase hardware, software, and computer supplies.
• The specialist will manage and document service desk tickets and escalations.
• We may require after-hours and weekend support as needed.
