QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• Knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies
• Understanding of test cases, including negative, positive, and regression testing
• Knowledge of automation testing, with experience creating automated tests for REST APIs and user interfaces
• Experience with one or more automation tools, such as Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
• Strong proficiency in at least one development language, such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
• Knowledge of industry best practices for manual, automated, and performance testing
• Experience with deployments and CI/CD practices
• Experience gathering, refining, and validating business and technical requirements, dependencies, and risks or issues
• Knowledge of application functionality, bug fixing, and testing practices
• Experience with system or platform integrations and cross-functional collaboration
• Initiative and motivation to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, design, and implement test automation frameworks for continuous integration and execution
• Develop testing approaches for unit, functional, integration, system, and user testing
• Design and create automated tests by analyzing user stories and acceptance criteria, developing test designs and scripts, installing testing tools, and reporting results
• Establish repeatable processes for designing, developing, and executing test scripts
• Conduct tests, document and analyze results, and present findings to development teams
• Prepare reports on software testing activities
• Participate in Agile/Scrum project meetings, including grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups
• Collaborate with software engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders in an agile development process
• Support non-QA colleagues in planning and conducting user acceptance testing
