QA Automation Engineer, Python

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in QA automation or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with Pytest or another Python-based testing framework
• Experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation
• Good understanding of API testing and REST APIs
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab and version control
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Preferred: experience designing automation frameworks from scratch
• Preferred: knowledge of Docker and containerized test environments
• Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Preferred: experience with performance or load-testing tools such as JMeter
• Preferred: knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Behave
• Preferred: familiarity with test reporting tools such as Allure or HTML reports
• Preferred: experience with parallel and distributed test execution
• Preferred: basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant QA or testing certifications are an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework
• Develop automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end tests
• Perform API automation and validation using tools such as Requests, Postman, or similar REST API testing tools
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues
• Create detailed, reproducible bug reports in tools such as Jira
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
• Maintain test data, test environments, automation scripts, and related documentation
• Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, and code reviews
• Identify ways to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA processes
• Perform basic database validation using SQL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Monitor automation results and provide QA status and release-quality reports
• Increase automated test coverage and reduce manual regression effort
• Maintain stable, reliable automation suites and identify defects early in the development lifecycle
• Support continuous integration and delivery, helping ensure releases meet defined quality standards
