Senior OneTrust Developer

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a OneTrust Developer or technical consultant, particularly in Consent and Preference Management.
• Strong experience managing data integrations and connectors with email service providers such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Mailchimp.
• Understanding of privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, and their application to consent and preference management.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, and data integration techniques for synchronizing consent and preference data across platforms.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, or other relevant programming languages for OneTrust customizations.
• Hands-on experience with OneTrust modules, especially Consent Management and Preference Management.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues involving consent collection, data synchronization, and ESP integrations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: OneTrust certification, such as OneTrust Certified Professional.
• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, or other email service providers.
• Preferred: Familiarity with privacy frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and data security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and configure OneTrust Consent and Preference Management solutions to support compliance with privacy laws.
• Gather business requirements with internal teams and translate them into customized OneTrust workflows.
• Ensure user preferences are accurately captured, stored, and reflected in systems, and manage the consent lifecycle in line with applicable regulations.
• Design and manage consent banners, templates, consent collection, and audit trails.
• Develop and maintain data connectors between OneTrust and email service providers, ensuring reliable synchronization and appropriate user segmentation based on consent and preferences.
• Troubleshoot integration, connectivity, and data synchronization issues between OneTrust and external systems.
• Automate real-time updates to user preferences, consent statuses, and email subscription data in connected ESPs.
• Implement custom integrations and automation, and develop and support APIs and webhooks for exchanging consent and preference data across systems.
• Work with privacy and legal teams to align consent processes with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
• Track emerging privacy regulations and best practices, keeping OneTrust configurations aligned with compliance standards.
• Monitor and optimize Consent and Preference Management solutions and data connectors; create dashboards and reports on consent status, user preferences, and email campaign effectiveness.
• Identify improvements to consent management efficiency and data accuracy across systems.
• Maintain documentation covering system configurations, customizations, data flows, and integrations.
• Train and guide internal stakeholders in using OneTrust consent and preference tools and interpreting related data.
