Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of full-stack software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in Python.
• At least 2 years of experience at an early-stage, venture-backed startup.
• Experience building and scaling high-throughput, distributed systems in production, including observability, monitoring, and reliability for mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience at both an early-stage, venture-backed startup and a larger technology company is sought; experience at a major technology company or tier-one startup is a plus.
• Experience building or deploying AI applications, such as LLMs or machine-learning pipelines, in production is a plus.
• A mission-driven approach and enthusiasm for building from scratch.
• Low ego and openness to changing your position when presented with stronger arguments.
• Based in New York City and able to work in our office Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Own and deliver greenfield projects across the backend, infrastructure, and frontend for our new product suite.
• Evolve and scale our backend architecture as the platform grows from thousands to millions of candidate interactions.
• Build and ship end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first environment on serverless AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with our Director of Engineering and founding team, working with high autonomy and rapid feedback.
• Help establish engineering standards and shape our technical culture as an early member of the team.

Compensation is $180,000–$220,000 plus competitive equity. The position is hybrid, with four office days per week in Midtown Manhattan, Monday through Thursday. We are hiring two people and are open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers. Our interview process has three rounds.
