Software Quality & Test Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Willingness to work remotely or onsite in Washington, DC; Atlantic City, NJ; or Oklahoma City, OK, and to travel within the U.S.
• Bachelors degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, performance testing, or a related area
• Experience testing enterprise applications and APIs
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Knowledge of Agile development and continuous integration/delivery practices
• Understanding of defect management and requirements traceability
• Preferred: Experience integrating automated testing into DevSecOps environments
• Preferred: Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, SonarQube, or comparable technologies
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-hosted or containerized applications
• Preferred: Experience with accessibility and Section 508 testing

Responsibilities:

• Create, execute, and maintain software test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and automation
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, API, system, performance, load, and accessibility testing as appropriate
• Build and maintain automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Review test results, defects, quality metrics, and recurring failure patterns
• Confirm traceability among requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, and results
• Work collaboratively with developers, product teams, DevSecOps engineers, and business stakeholders
• Assist with release readiness and operational acceptance
• Find ways to expand automated testing and reduce manual effort
• Prepare testing and quality evidence to support delivery and acceptance
