Requirements:
- At least 3 years of PHP and WordPress development experience; 5 or more years preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
- Experience managing VPS servers, such as GoDaddy or AWS
- Knowledge of website security practices, including SSL, firewalls, and malware prevention
- Familiarity with SEO principles, Core Web Vitals, and performance optimization
- Experience with API integrations and WordPress custom post types
- Ability to diagnose and resolve WordPress, PHP, and hosting issues promptly
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Lead client-facing development discussions, gather requirements, define project scope, and present demos
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Develop custom PHP functionality and API integrations to meet client needs
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VPS hosting environments for strong performance and security
- Coordinate web project schedules, including mockup approvals, content gathering, reviews, and launch dates
- Apply best practices for website speed, SEO, and user experience
- Protect websites from vulnerabilities and ensure they meet web standards
- Develop processes, frameworks, and best practices to help grow the web development team
- Provide ongoing client website support, debugging, maintenance, and performance improvements
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and paid media teams to integrate web assets effectively
