📍Manchester (Hybrid, up to 4 days WFH) | 💰 £75,000 Street Group is one of the fastest-growing PropTech companies in the UK. We want to be the leading creator of delightful experiences for everybody involved in buying, selling, renting and letting property, regardless of their involvement, to improve the industry for everybody by elevating UK Estate Agencies through world-class technology. Our products, Street.co.uk and Spectre form a powerful duo, working harmoniously together to transform an agent's job. From securing more leads and winning new instructions to streamlining business operations and growing market share, our products are supercharging 1,000s of agencies across the UK. How we work in 2026 Engineering at Street Group has changed. Most of us don't write code by hand day-to-day anymore - agents do; we direct. For our mobile team, that shifts where the value is: when AI handles more of the code, what matters most is how the app looks, how it feels, what it does for the user and the ideas you bring to it. Understanding the product and the people using it sits at the heart of the role: we expect engineers to know why they're building something, not just how. Being genuinely tuned into AI tooling is core to the role here, not a side skill and if you'd rather not work this way, that's fair but we're probably not the place for you. Equally, if you see mobile engineering as getting code onto a screen and calling it "good enough", this probably isn't the role for you either. We're a small, autonomous mobile team working on what we think is the best PropTech app on the market. There's no micromanagement and no fixed sprint rituals: when a new project kicks off we get together as a "three amigos" with product and design, get the first tickets out, then keep the conversation going as the work develops. You'll have dedicated backend, design and product colleagues alongside you, and full freedom over how you work. If you love autonomy, are naturally curious, and want to have a genuine impact within a growing company, we think you'd fit right in! Here's what you can expect to be working on as a Mobile Developer (L5) at Street Group - Owning the end-to-end delivery of significant features in our React Native app: scoping the problem, directing the build, testing, shipping and iterating based on what you learn. - Directing agent sessions to deliver work, while your own attention goes on the user experience, platform feel and the decisions where your judgement is required. - Making every experience feel natural on both iOS and Android - understanding what users on each platform expect, and building for it. - Looking after the live app: monitoring, stability and our weekly releases across the App Store and Google Play. - Defining what success looks like before you build, analysing how features perform after release, and proactively bringing the results - good or bad, backed by data - to product and design. - Being a regular voice in product discussions: taking a loose "what if we..." idea and turning it into a strong first version. - Picking up tech debt and spotting improvements alongside your main feature, keeping the app maintainable and extendable. - Helping to shape new mobile work as it expands across more of the business, including consumer monetisation and lettings. A bit about you - You have commercial experience building and shipping production apps with React Native and TypeScript, on both iOS and Android. - You work AI-natively as a default, using tools like Claude Code fluently - and you understand what the AI produces well enough to explain and own it. If your current employer doesn't allow AI tools, we'd expect you've been exploring them in your own time. - You have strong product and design sense: you're user-focused and care about how something feels to use, not just whether it works. - You take quality seriously - your work is tested, solid and thought through before it ships. - You've looked after a live app and see its stability, monitoring and releases as part of your job. - You're comfortable working independently with loose guidelines, and you're a confident communicator who'll share ideas and challenge in discussions. - Experience using analytics to measure features and inform what comes next is a bonus. Why join Street Group? 🏠 Hybrid-working - you can work from home up to 4 days per week 🏖️ Guilt-Free R&R - £1000 towards a holiday after your first year with the team (we'll even cover the tax!) 💪 Joining a culture that supports your development and encourages growth 📚 £500 yearly L&D budget for your career development 🎂 Your birthday on us - we pay, you stay away 🙋 'Give something back' - 2 paid days volunteering on us 👶 Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption pay 🧠 Mental health & well-being support via Health Assured 🧘 Regular well-being initiatives 🕒 Flexible working hours 🚂 Public transport season ticket loans 🌷 Paid menopause leave 🌞 Holiday buying scheme 🚀 Joining a new team in an exciting business with huge ambition 👥 Be a part of something bigger - everyone in our team is passionate about improving the entire property industry! It's a huge goal, but it motivates us to do better every single day 👩🏿‍💻 A chance to work on cutting-edge technology 🐶 Comfortable, relaxed office space - office dogs welcome! 🍻 Fully stocked fridge and beers (or an alternative) on us every Friday afternoon 🎊 Company and team off-sites, events and happy hours 🚴 Cycle to work scheme 🚗 Electric car salary sacrifice scheme 🌍 Feel good about sustainability - we're a climate-positive company! Research has shown that women tend to rule themselves out of applying for jobs unless they meet 100% of the requirements. If you fall into that category and were about to rule yourself out based on the above criteria; please consider applying anyway. We'd love to see your application! Salary £75,000 dependent on experience. However, sometimes the perfect person is far more or less experienced than we anticipated. In these situations, planned ranges go out the window. If you think that might be the case, please apply and just let us know. We care deeply about helping the tech industry become a more inclusive and diverse place and we work hard to lead by example. We are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity through attracting and retaining a complementary team of employees and building an inclusive environment for all. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be able to perform the work specified. Interview Process 4 stages (incl. tech task) = An introductory call with one of our Talent team > Take-home tech task > Technical Interview > Final culture fit interview. We want to make our interviews as inclusive as possible, so if you need any adjustments made, or if there's anything you think we should be aware of during the interview process, please do let us know. A note on using AI in your job application As a fast-moving and rapidly evolving tech company, we embrace the advantages of AI and encourage its use throughout our application process. However, our goal is to get to know and hire the authentic you - your skills, experience, and values. We don't want to hire an AI-generated version of you. We consider AI to be a valuable tool, not something that should overshadow you as an individual. How we use AI in the hiring process Candidate experience is really important to us, and our Talent team use AI notetakers during interviews so they can focus purely on their conversation with you. All hiring decisions are made by humans - not AI. Let us know if you have any questions!
