Ab Initio Developer

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience for the position; the experience criteria also specify 7+ years in software development.
• At least 3 years of Oracle PL/SQL or SQL experience, including SQL tuning and developing packages, triggers, functions, and procedures.
• At least 5 years of ETL experience with Ab Initio or Informatica, including hands-on development of complex ETL applications; Ab Initio experience is required.
• Strong UNIX knowledge and experience with data conversion or migration.
• Knowledge of Ab Initio Co>Relate.
• Experience working in an onsite-offshore model.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and internal customer management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical design documents, and guide the development team in delivering the resulting solutions.
• Design, build, maintain, implement, integrate, and test complex Ab Initio graphs, plans, analytics solutions, and new features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysis, product assurance, platforms and infrastructure, business offices, controls, and production support.
• Identify and address issues affecting system performance, reliability, or usability, and raise challenges and risks early.
• Analyze complex data problems and develop general solutions that fit existing infrastructure.
• Take ownership of solution delivery, mentor developers as needed, and organize design, code, and technical-document reviews.
• Assess existing application systems for complexity and implementation risks.
• Recommend improvements to software architecture and development processes, and identify useful technologies.
• Build productive relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
• Lead report architecture, optimize SQL performance, protect data integrity, estimate effort, and manage software development activities through the SDLC to support timely delivery.
