Application Developer - Onsite

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of GIS development experience, including 1–2 years with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 or newer.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Server and Portal 11.1+, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x, and Python using ArcPy and the ArcGIS API for Python.
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure, including federated servers, data stores, authentication, and content and user management.
• Experience developing and deploying applications for internal enterprise users and public audiences.
• Strong understanding of federated ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, content management, and security roles.
• Preferred: Experience in a state or local Department of Transportation or similar public-sector setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with linear referencing systems, transportation asset management, or roadway networks.
• Preferred: Experience with DevOps tools.
• Preferred: Esri technical certification, such as Enterprise Administration or Web Application Developer, or GISP certification.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy custom web GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise components, including Portal for ArcGIS, federated ArcGIS Server, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Dashboards.
• Administer ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure, including portals, server sites, hosting servers, data stores, user and role management, content governance, security, and environment monitoring.
• Develop interactive tools and applications for roadway asset management, maintenance monitoring, traffic operations and incident mapping, and project planning and visualization.
• Build and manage scalable, secure map, feature, and geoprocessing services with ArcGIS Server 11.x or newer.
• Automate GIS workflows and service publishing with Python, ArcPy, the ArcGIS API for Python, and scheduled tasks.
• Integrate GIS applications with enterprise systems, such as asset management, maintenance, and project databases.
• Customize and extend applications using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x and Experience Builder widgets.
• Work with engineers, planners, analysts, cartographers, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Optimize spatial service and application performance and follow state IT and data governance standards.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise GIS environments across development, test, and production, including service performance, system health, and infrastructure configurations.
• Document workflows and configurations, and provide technical support and user training.
• Keep up with Esri developments and ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x features to support ongoing improvement.
