Back End Developer

Requirements:

• We value exposure to legacy application modernization, platform migrations, and SEO practices for migrations, including URL mapping, metadata preservation, and content validation.
• Familiarity with Ruby for maintaining existing applications or supporting integrations is preferred.
• Experience planning and executing production cutovers with testing and validation, working in cross-functional software delivery teams, and optimizing application performance, content delivery, or backend infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and REST APIs with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Support React applications and server-side rendering technologies.
• Integrate headless CMS platforms to enable structured content delivery across digital platforms.
• Build and improve search capabilities, including indexing, tagging, filtering, and content retrieval.
• Develop and maintain Docker-based containerized applications.
• Apply caching strategies across application layers and CDNs to improve performance and scalability.
• Contribute to modernizing platforms and moving from legacy systems to newer technology stacks.
• Help run existing and replacement platforms in parallel to maintain continuity during migrations.
• Preserve content accuracy, URL structures, metadata, and SEO standards during platform transitions.
• Work with frontend engineers, designers, content specialists, SEO professionals, and other technical stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve backend performance, integration, and application reliability issues.
• Take part in technical planning, code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.
• Identify ways to improve system reliability, maintainability, and development efficiency.
