Business Analyst - Austin

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
• At least 8 years of experience gathering requirements and creating reports
• At least 8 years facilitating the development and analysis of business requirements and working with business teams to design technical solutions
• At least 5 years participating in and guiding user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities
• At least 2 years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI
• Bachelors degree
• Oil and gas industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, develop, and document business, technical, and reporting requirements using multiple methods
• Review, assess, and develop business processes
• Analyze data, investigate the root causes of errors, trace data lineage, and document data flows
• Develop and improve reports and dashboards using Power BI and Snowflake for Mainframe Reports and Extract projects
• Coordinate and publish data to the DIR Open Data Portal and agency website
• Create, coordinate, and validate user acceptance testing scenarios and test cases
• Ensure deliverables and project materials meet established processes, quality standards, and business analysis methodologies
• Provide research and specialized project support to users and stakeholders
• Assign, oversee, and supervise team members work as needed

We are recruiting for a senior business analyst role supporting multiple interconnected reporting projects involving emerging technology hardware and software. The work is data-focused and offers considerable autonomy and latitude for independent judgment. This is a remote contract position with working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and an hourly rate of $65–$75.
