Business Analyst/Quality Assurance - Remote

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of business analysis, software testing, or application workflows.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment, with attention to detail and openness to learning new tools and technologies.
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SQL, test management tools, or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant experience: 0–2 years for entry-level roles or 2–5 years for mid-level roles; prior experience in business analysis, manual testing, documentation, or IT project support is beneficial.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable employment requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document stakeholder business requirements; prepare BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
• Analyze requirements, support business process improvement, and assist with gap analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
• Coordinate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements; participate in meetings, requirements-gathering sessions, and project discussions.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate business requirements.
• Review business requirements and functional specifications.
• Prepare and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts; perform manual, functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects; collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
• Retest and verify defect fixes, maintain test documentation, and provide regular testing status updates.
