Business Data Analyst - Mountain View

Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, econometrics, operations research, computer science, computer or software engineering, or a closely related quantitative field, plus 4+ years of quantitative data analysis experience.
• Preferred: Experience with learning and development platforms and learner success data.

Responsibilities:

• Develop quantitative measures of learner progression, training effectiveness, visitor-to-badged conversion, assessment performance, and certification and readiness outcomes, using evaluation frameworks such as the Kirkpatrick model where appropriate.
• Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries in MySQL or PostgreSQL, using Databricks and related platforms to combine learner, assessment, certification, campaign, and program data into reliable analytical datasets.
• Conduct funnel, cohort, segmentation, and trend analyses of learners in our clients tax and bookkeeping programs to assess engagement, completion, and drop-off patterns; use appropriate quantitative and statistical methods to identify factors associated with learner outcomes.
• Use hypothesis testing, A/B test analysis, and regression with SQL, Python, R, or Databricks to evaluate the effects of content, program, and communication changes when suitable data is available.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Qlik Sense, and similar tools, with defined KPI logic, metric definitions, and validation checks.
• Analyze Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, and Segment data to assess acquisition, campaign engagement, and conversion, and connect these measures to enrollment, completion, and certification outcomes.

The team focuses on expert readiness, and this role provides data analytics services to evaluate training effectiveness, learner progression, and certification and readiness outcomes.
