Compliance Senior Product Owner

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 5+ years of product management, product ownership, or closely related experience
• Financial services experience; wealth management, broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with commissions, fee billing, advisor payments, books and records, journal entries, ERP platforms, or financial operations systems
• Experience working in a regulated environment and translating compliance requirements into product capabilities and controls
• Demonstrated success owning product strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, discovery, delivery, adoption, and measurable outcomes
• Strong product discovery skills and the ability to turn stakeholder needs into strategic solutions
• Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to explain strategy, priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes in clear business language
• Ability to define and use KPIs, OKRs, and product scorecards to measure business value and success
• Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance teams
• Azure DevOps and compliance or financial systems experience are preferred; Workday experience is not required

Responsibilities:

• Lead product strategy and execution for financial operations, including advisor commissions, fee billing, books and records, journal entries, supervisory functions, ERP systems, and compliance
• Support the accurate and timely payment of advisors while helping modernize commission and billing platforms
• Partner with business leaders and teams across product management, design, engineering, risk, and compliance to identify stakeholder needs and lead product discovery
• Translate business challenges into strategic product solutions
• Define product vision and roadmaps, prioritize the backlog, and establish KPIs and product scorecards
• Drive measurable business and operational outcomes
• Generate ideas, challenge assumptions, and connect product decisions to business value
• Build trusted relationships across technical and nontechnical teams

We are recruiting for a client seeking a Compliance Senior Product Owner. This role begins as a three-month remote contract, with potential contract-to-hire consideration for candidates near Des Moines, Fairfield, or Phoenix. The position is intended for a proactive, business-focused product leader rather than an architecture-focused specialist.
