About Us: When someone is out of work with a serious injury or illness, the last thing they need is a claims process that's slow, confusing, or unfair. That's what EvolutionIQ is here to fix. EvolutionIQ builds AI that helps insurance claims teams handle claims more accurately, fairly, and efficiently, so more people impacted by injury or illness can get back to their lives with dignity and stability. As part of CCC Intelligent Solutions (NASDAQ: CCC), we pair AI-native product development with something almost no one else in this market has: 40 years of proprietary data and deep relationships with the largest, most complex carriers in the world. It's a rare combination, and it's what lets us build casualty products others can't. Our people come first, and we think it shows. We've been named one of Inc.'s Best Workplaces three years running, plus Built In's Best Places to Work in 2025 and 2026. Your Impact: This is a hands-on Senior Engineer role for someone who loves building. You'll spend most of your time writing code, shipping high-impact features, and solving meaningful technical problems across EvolutionIQ and CCC products. You'll leverage AI and agentic development tools as a core part of your daily workflow, helping modernize existing platforms while building new capabilities that improve the insurance claims experience. You'll partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering, moving comfortably between rapid prototyping and production-ready systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into complex codebases, learning continuously, and making a measurable impact through software. Key Responsibilities: - Build and enhance enterprise SaaS applications across EvolutionIQ and CCC products, spending the majority of your time writing production code. - Modernize existing systems by working through complex legacy platforms while contributing to new product development and scalable backend services. - Leverage AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools to accelerate development, improve engineering productivity, and rapidly prototype new ideas. - Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable, intuitive applications while contributing to technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices. Requirements: - 5+ years of engineering experience, with a track record of delivering features end-to-end by partnering with Product, defining scope, designing data models, implementing solutions, and maintaining them in production. - Strong hands-on experience with Python, plus experience building applications with TypeScript and/or JavaScript. - Experience designing scalable backend systems, including multi-tenant, multi-user architectures, with strong relational database design skills. - Comfortable using AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools as part of your daily development workflow and able to move between rapid prototyping and production development. - Experience writing technical design documents, participating in code reviews, and contributing to high engineering standards and best practices. - Ability to understand customer business problems, translate them into technical solutions, and clearly communicate business impact to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - A collaborative, solutions-oriented engineer with excellent communication skills, strong ownership, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively across EvolutionIQ and CCC engineering teams. Nice to Have: - Experience modernizing or working within existing enterprise applications and legacy systems. - Familiarity with C# /.NET or an interest in working within mixed technology environments. - Experience building AI-powered applications or working within the insurance, claims, or broader enterprise SaaS space. Work-life, Culture & Perks: - Compensation: The base salary range is $215-230K, with flexibility depending on a candidate's background and experience. An annual bonus plan and company equity plan (RSUs) are also included in our generous compensation package. - Well-Being: Medical, dental, vision, short & long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D, and 401(k) matching. Additional family, wellness, and pet benefits. - Home & Family: Paid time off and sick leave, 100% paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers). We offer a flexible schedule for new parents returning to work. - Office Life: Catered lunches, happy hours, pet-friendly spaces, and monthly technology stipend. - Growth & Training: $1,000/year for each employee for professional development, as well as opportunities for tuition reimbursement. - Sponsorship: We are open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer their active visa.
