Data Center Technician

Requirements:

• We require at least a high school diploma.
• We are looking for someone with 6–8 years of experience.
• We expect basic knowledge of computer hardware assets.
• We need familiarity with MVS system administration.
• We prefer candidates with basic networking knowledge.
• We value a strong awareness of safety requirements in a data center environment.
• We prefer candidates who can work in the country without sponsorship.
• We look for someone willing to learn quickly, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers.
• We will have you rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
• We will have you troubleshoot, test, and perform quality checks on server hardware.
• We will have you resolve hardware issues professionally through the ticketing process.
• We expect you to handle operating system installation for Windows Server, Linux, and Unix as needed.
• We expect you to apply cabling knowledge, including port mapping and understanding different cable types.
• We may have you assist with RAID-related work, web server setup, and database installation.
• We require you to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders for extended periods, and travel when needed.
