EDI Specialist

Requirements:

• Associates or bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 2 years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, EDI, or a related technical role
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Preferred: Experience with Epicor/Kinetic ERP or similar systems
• Preferred: Knowledge of EDI, including X12 standards and EDI/VAN platforms
• Preferred: Basic to intermediate SQL skills, including querying and data troubleshooting
• Preferred: Experience with help desk ticketing systems
• Preferred: Basic understanding of networking, relational databases, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Preferred: Experience supporting system upgrades, technical projects, or software implementations

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily EDI transactions, such as purchase orders, invoices, and advance ship notices, for accurate and timely processing
• Investigate and resolve EDI transaction failures, mapping issues, and system errors
• Coordinate with external trading partners and EDI/VAN providers to address technical issues
• Support the onboarding of new EDI trading partners, including transaction testing and validation
• Maintain EDI maps, technical documentation, and trading partner specifications
• Support Epicor/Kinetic ERP and other business applications
• Troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate help desk tickets and end-user system issues
• Work with IT Applications and Infrastructure teams to identify and resolve system problems
• Assist with SQL queries, data analysis, and reporting
• Participate in ERP upgrades, system testing, and software implementations
• Identify opportunities to improve system processes, efficiency, and functionality
