Full Stack Developer

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Interactive Media, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience developing digital experiences in an agency or similarly fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong knowledge of front-end development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Strong daily proficiency with Git, including feature branching, pull requests, clear commit messages, code reviews, conflict resolution, tagging, and rollbacks; comfortable contributing to shared repositories.
• Ability to understand, debug, and evaluate unfamiliar code, including code written by others.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in version-controlled, peer-reviewed workflows.
• Good judgment about when AI can accelerate development and when it may introduce risk, supported by solid engineering fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, browser compatibility, performance optimization, debugging, testing, and QA.
• Ability to interpret designs, UX specifications, functional requirements, and documentation and translate them into polished digital experiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to nontechnical colleagues.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage competing assignments and meet agreed deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Curiosity and commitment to ongoing learning as technologies and digital standards evolve.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with the technical environment: WordPress and PHP, custom themes and ACF Pro; Gravity Forms, Bootstrap, SCSS, front-end build tools, and local development environments; Pantheon, WP Engine, or Kinsta; Git-based workflows and pipeline deployments; and Figma design handoffs with component- and token-based systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build responsive, accessible, reliable digital experiences from approved designs, requirements, and technical specifications.
• Translate creative and UX designs into accurate, functional experiences while preserving their intent and quality.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable code in line with development standards and best practices.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing, testing, and documenting AI-generated code to the same standard as manually written code.
• Take ownership of submitted code and be prepared to explain, debug, and maintain it.
• Consider performance, usability, accessibility, security, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility throughout development.
• Review requirements and designs ahead of development, identifying dependencies, risks, assumptions, and opportunities.
• Advise on technical feasibility, development approaches, effort, and timelines.
• Test and troubleshoot thoroughly before formal QA, resolve defects efficiently, and address underlying causes where possible.
• Follow code review, version control, documentation, deployment, and quality-control processes.
• Make changes through version control and the established deployment pipeline; do not edit staging or production environments directly.
• Maintain small, clearly described commits that make changes traceable, auditable, and reversible.
• Work with QA and project teams to prioritize, resolve, and verify technical issues through completion.
• Collaborate throughout projects with Creative, UX, Project Management, Account, Strategy, Editorial, and other teams.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical colleagues, raising risks early and recommending solutions.
• Integrate approved third-party services, APIs, analytics, tagging, and other technologies as assignments require.
• Provide realistic estimates and communicate changes, dependencies, and blockers that may affect scope or timing.
• Support launches and troubleshoot production issues to keep digital experiences functioning as expected.
• Develop reusable components and documentation, and contribute to technical standards and process improvements.
• Keep current with relevant technologies, accessibility practices, platform requirements, and digital standards.
• Use only agency- and client-approved AI tools; do not share client code, unpublished content, regulated copy, or confidential data with unapproved services.
• Work within medical, legal, and regulatory review cycles, including processes for ISI and safety content, approved claims copy, and change control.
• Follow agency and client procedures for work in regulated pharmaceutical and healthcare settings.
