Full Stack Java Developer - On-Site Coordinator

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Senior-level enterprise software engineering experience, including technical leadership or on-site coordination.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• 5+ years building enterprise applications with Servlet, JSP, MVC, and Security frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with ReactJS or a comparable modern UI framework.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Hands-on expertise with REST and SOAP web services, XML, XSD, and XSLT.
• Strong database skills, including JDBC, SQL, stored procedures, and JPA.
• Experience writing automated unit tests with JUnit and mocking frameworks such as Mockito or JMockit.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Proficiency with Git, TFS, or similar source control tools.
• A record of proactive technical collaboration and coordination with offshore and globally distributed teams.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Experience with Backbone.js; at least 6 months of hands-on SCSS experience; exposure to Splunk; familiarity with Redis, Memcached, or other distributed caching frameworks; an understanding of microservices patterns; and foundational knowledge of WCAG/ADA accessibility standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, and maintenance of enterprise full-stack applications, covering backend architectures and modern user interfaces.
• Coordinate technical work on-site, connect offshore teams with local stakeholders, align sprint goals, and drive delivery across distributed teams.
• Build, enhance, and integrate REST and SOAP services using Spring Boot, Hibernate, Servlets, JSP, MVC, and Security frameworks.
• Develop responsive client-facing interfaces, reusable components, and dynamic web experiences with ReactJS or a comparable framework, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Design and implement relational database components, queries, stored procedures, and data mappings using JDBC, SQL, and JPA.
• Maintain code quality and test coverage through automated unit testing with JUnit and mocking frameworks.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage source control workflows with Git or TFS.
• Coordinate technical handoffs, conduct architectural code reviews, and troubleshoot production incidents across time zones.

We are SmarTek21, and we are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer / On-Site Coordinator to contribute to enterprise applications and partner with offshore engineering teams across time zones. This is a contract role based in Issaquah, Washington, with a hybrid schedule of three days on-site and two days off-site during standard business hours; travel is not required. The annual salary range is $120,000–$130,000, with no additional compensation.
