IT System Associate

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in a general IT support or technician role.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware repair, including laptops and desktops, and comfort opening and repairing devices.
• Familiarity with Windows is required; familiarity with macOS, common business software, and basic networking concepts is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple requests and priorities.
• Clear communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
• Preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification; experience supporting a mixed Windows/macOS environment; or experience in a warehouse, distribution, or high-volume device environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair company laptops, desktops, and peripherals, including replacing or upgrading components such as memory, storage, batteries, and screens.
• Set up and configure employee devices, including operating system installation, software configuration, and account setup.
• Respond to employee IT support requests and resolve hardware and software issues to reduce downtime.
• Track IT equipment, maintain repair histories, and organize spare parts and loaner devices.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving printers, monitors, docking stations, and the office network.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Document recurring issues, recommend solutions, and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or external vendors when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking an IT System Associate for our Operations-IT department at Refreshed Tech. This full-time, exempt role reports to the COO and provides hands-on technology support across our company. Work is performed on-site at our facility, primarily in an office and warehouse setting, with occasional work on the warehouse floor. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel. We are an equal opportunity employer.
