IT Systems Associate

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–3 years of experience in a general IT support or technician role
• Working knowledge of computer hardware repair, including laptops and desktops
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
• Working knowledge of Windows; familiarity with macOS is a plus
• Familiarity with common business software and basic networking concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot independently
• Ability to manage multiple support and repair requests, equipment, and priorities
• Clear communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical employees
• Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
• Relevant certification such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ is preferred
• Experience supporting a mixed Windows/macOS environment is preferred
• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or high-volume device environment is preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair company laptops, desktops, and peripherals, including replacing or upgrading components such as memory, storage, batteries, and screens
• Prepare and configure employee devices, including installing operating systems, configuring software, and setting up accounts
• Respond to employee IT support requests and resolve hardware and software issues
• Track equipment, record repair histories, and organize spare parts and loaner devices
• Troubleshoot printers, monitors, docking stations, connectivity, and office network issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life
• Document recurring issues, recommend solutions, and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or external vendors
• Perform other related duties as assigned

We are hiring an IT System Associate for our Operations-IT department, reporting to the COO. The full-time, exempt role supports the technology our team uses every day, combining hands-on device repair with general IT troubleshooting in a fast-moving environment. Work takes place on-site at our Refreshed Tech facility, primarily indoors in an office and warehouse setting, with occasional work on the warehouse floor. The role has no travel or supervisory responsibilities. We are an equal opportunity employer.
