Java Full Stack Developer Team Lead

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Java implementation experience, including user interfaces, integrations, and web services (preferred)
• Experience with JDK versions 7–11 and working knowledge of older versions (preferred)
• Java services development experience
• Experience developing and deploying applications on middle-tier software such as JBoss or WebSphere
• Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and integration skills
• DevOps experience with automated builds, testing, and deployments
• Ability to design and develop process-based solutions
• Ability to enforce best practices in Java architecture, design, and coding
• Experience creating and discussing proofs of concept
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum teams (preferred)
• Estimation and solutioning experience
• Experience leading a group of developers
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Insurance industry experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the development process, ensuring work meets high industry standards
• Continuously improve Agile development practices, emphasizing automation, reuse, and productivity
• Coordinate with internal and external systems and stakeholders
• Ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and technical standards
• Partner with the team on complex development and production initiatives, including leading multiple large-scale technical projects
• Develop applications and provide end-to-end support
• Understand requirements and document them as stories
• Participate in PI and sprint planning meetings
• Work with business users to clarify requirements
• Implement stories as microservice functionality in Pivotal Cloud Foundry
• Provide the support team with input on production issues
