Jr. Automation Test/SW Engineer

Requirements:

• We require working knowledge of automated testing tools such as Selenium and QTP.
• We require experience conducting system tests, including creating test procedures, troubleshooting, documenting issues, and generating test reports.
• We prefer knowledge of Unix operating systems, XML files and transformations, and relational database systems.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field, along with at least six years of related work experience.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or provide documented proof of eligibility to work in the United States, have lived in the country for at least the past three years, and be subject to a government investigation if selected.
• Candidates must be able to work on-site at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Those outside commuting distance must relocate before starting; we do not provide relocation assistance.
• We require willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:

• Review and provide feedback on system engineering, system requirements, and system testing documents.
• Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and other meetings supporting the program and team.
• Develop and manage system engineering, requirements, testing, and product-baseline artifacts.
• Create and maintain automated tools using scripting languages and tools such as Selenium and QTP.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot XML files and WSDLs.
• Support software applications and debug software issues in Unix and Windows environments.
• Support system development, testing, integration, and deployment activities.
• Participate as a tester in system testing and key site testing.
• Create test procedures, troubleshoot issues, document findings, and generate test reports.

This is a full-time, on-site role with standard work hours and no specified job duration. The pay range is $80,000–$92,000.
