Network Cybersecurity Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Systems
• Five years of professional cybersecurity engineering experience
• Experience with RHEL 7 or later and Windows Server 2019–2025
• SIEM/SOAR experience; Splunk or Sentinel preferred
• ACAS engineering experience, beyond end-user experience
• Trellix ESS engineering experience, rather than administration
• Experience with GitLab or GitHub
• DoD Secret Clearance
• Security+ certification
• RHCSA/RHCE, CCySA+, CASP+, or CISSP preferred
• Splunk or Sentinel certification preferred
• CMPro experience is a plus, but not required
• Preference for candidates who reside in a Small Business Administration-designated HUBZone

Responsibilities:

• Provide network security engineering support for planning, designing, integrating, testing, and implementing CANES system upgrades
• Analyze network architectures and security requirements
• Identify vulnerabilities and security risks
• Develop and assess security solutions
• Support systems integration and testing to help ensure compliance with applicable Navy, DoW, and cybersecurity requirements
