Oracle Database Developer

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing Oracle Database solutions for complex enterprise or mission workloads, including data design, performance tuning, security, backup and recovery, and operational support.
• Experience managing geospatial intelligence data in raster and vector formats, and designing database structures, indexes, queries, and services for scalable spatial analytics.
• Ability to design multimodel Oracle Database solutions integrating relational, spatial, JSON (including JSON Relational Duality), and graph data while maintaining integrity, usability, and performance.
• Hands-on experience supporting AI use cases in Oracle Database with vector data types, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
• Experience developing secure, efficient SQL and PL/SQL, schemas, packages, views, and data-access patterns for applications, analytics, APIs, and downstream users.
• Ability to assess source systems, map data structures, plan migrations and conversions, and validate data quality, completeness, reconciliation, and performance.
• Experience working with application, AI, data-engineering, cloud, and security teams to turn requirements into maintainable database designs and operational runbooks.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain database risks, design choices, and remediation to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of OCI services for database deployment, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, and security.
• Experience creating and deploying RESTful APIs and integrating with Oracle API Gateway or similar API-management tools.
• Experience with Oracle AI Database 26ai, Oracle Exadata, and/or OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata.
• Experience migrating Oracle Databases from on-premises or other cloud environments to OCI using Zero Downtime Migration, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or comparable tools.
• Experience migrating JSON data from MongoDB or similar document stores to Oracle Database and validating compatibility, data fidelity, and performance.
