Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development with Oracle 11g, 12c, or 19c.
• Expertise in stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and complex SQL.
• Performance tuning experience using execution plans, indexes, and partitioning.
• Experience with bulk processing, ref cursors, collections, and batch processing.
• Knowledge of ETL logic, data transformations, and data integrity practices.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting and job scheduling experience with tools such as Autosys or Control-M.
• Experience integrating PL/SQL with Java, .NET, or middleware applications.
• Knowledge of the SDLC, version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or SVN, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in financial services, banking, or high-volume transactional systems.
• Preferred: Familiarity with NoSQL or cloud databases such as AWS RDS, DynamoDB, or Azure SQL.
• Preferred: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star schemas and fact/dimension tables.
• Preferred: Agile experience with Scrum or SAFe and tools such as Jira, SQL Developer, Toad, or DataGrip.
• Preferred: Experience with schema migrations, release deployments, and DevOps workflows.
• Preferred: Ability to mentor junior developers and promote best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL routines using execution plans, indexing, and partitioning.
• Implement error handling, exception management, and logging frameworks.
• Support ETL logic, bulk processing, data transformations, and batch jobs.
• Collaborate with application, QA, and infrastructure teams across analysis, design, testing, and production support.
• Contribute to schema design, data modeling, and release deployments within CI/CD workflows.
• Automate jobs using Unix/Linux shell scripting and scheduling tools.
