Parent partner coordinator

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, required
• Associates degree with experience is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
• Must be adaptable with scheduling to accommodate occasional evening or weekend activities
• Former or current parent or resident of the schools feeder area is favorable

Responsibilities:

• Build and nurture relationships with parents and community members affiliated with the assigned school
• Create connections with local organizations for information-sharing, referrals, and advocacy for families
• Engage parents in school functions through community outreach efforts
• Support activities at the parent resource center, including providing information and referrals to relevant services
• Collaborate with the Community School Site Coordinator and school staff to organize workshops, training sessions, and seminars for parents
• Lead and coordinate events as necessary, recruiting targeted families and linking them to appropriate services while identifying specific needs and potential barriers
• Keep attendance records for all parent activities and classes

These part-time, hourly positions allow for up to 25 hours per week and are available during the school year only, spanning 10 months.
