More
We are supporting a department-wide digital transformation programme to modernize information systems, strengthen data governance, and enable data-informed decisions at headquarters and in field operations. IMU leads the design, development, integration, deployment, and operational management of digital platforms and services. The portfolio includes personnel security and personnel-list solutions, departmental business applications, Microsoft Power Platform tools, and a Data Platform built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure services, alongside integrations with enterprise systems and other technical services. The role is based in New York on a hybrid basis, with on-site presence as required by IMU; work outside the duty-station area requires prior written approval. The initial contract is six months, with potential successive 12-month renewals subject to satisfactory performance, operational requirements, and funding availability. A Data Engineer retains primary hands-on responsibility for data pipelines, transformations, data models, and data quality processes.
