Principal Enterprise Solution Architect

Requirements:

• 18+ years of experience in data engineering, enterprise architecture, retail technology, and large-scale digital transformation.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics architectures, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Proven experience leading architecture and implementation for enterprise retail platforms, such as merchandising, planning, replenishment, product information management, and order management systems.
• Ability to design and execute enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and measurable value.
• Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technology concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of AI, advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making in retail.
• Demonstrated leadership in organizational change, stakeholder alignment, and adoption of new technologies and business processes.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a focus on customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.
• Deep functional and technical expertise in retail merchandising, assortment planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, allocation, and pricing solutions.
• Functional knowledge of Merchandise Financial Planning, Visual Assortment Planning, product and merchandise hierarchies, and related data flows is preferred.
• A bachelors or masters degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration (MBA), or a related field is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data engineering, integration, governance, modernization, and enterprise data architecture.
• Provide architectural leadership across Anaplan, VibeIQ, Precisely MDM/PIM, and downstream integrations.
• Improve platform reliability, data quality, scalability, and integration standards while simplifying architecture.
• Assess existing architecture, shape transformation roadmaps, and advise senior client stakeholders.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes through technology modernization, greater organizational agility, cost optimization, and improved merchandising and planning capabilities.
• Align technology roadmaps with business goals and value realization while guiding architecture, engineering excellence, platform transformation, and technology governance.
• Design hands-on architectures, uphold engineering discipline, and support seamless delivery.
• Modernize legacy batch data processes into event-driven systems and apply AI within the software development life cycle to improve speed and quality.
