Principal Machine Learning Engineer (EO/IR)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 12+ years of experience, or a masters degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field
• Strong machine learning expertise, including model selection, architecture, training, validation, testing, and deployment
• Experience developing deep-learning neural networks for computer vision, image processing, or video analysis, such as object detection, image segmentation, or tracking
• Strong mathematical background, particularly in linear algebra
• Proficiency in Python and experience with deep-learning libraries such as Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Familiarity with software engineering practices, including version control, testing, CI/CD, and containerization
• U.S. citizenship is required for program requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Preferred: proficiency in C, C++, or Rust; experience curating real-world datasets for deep-learning training; or an active TS/SCI clearance

The role may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and computer work, as well as occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes in production areas. Compensation includes a base salary of $153,000–$204,000 and total compensation, including equity, of $198,900–$318,200; actual level and pay depend on job-related skills, education, and experience.
