Python Developer

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience developing applications in Python.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or a comparable framework.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience writing unit tests with pytest or an equivalent framework.
• Familiarity with Git-based source control, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Ability to debug and support enterprise applications.
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Kafka or other event and messaging technologies, Kubernetes, or NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: Experience processing data with Pandas or similar Python libraries.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Preferred: Experience with large-scale enterprise applications, legacy modernization, or decomposing monolithic applications into services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and backend services.
• Build REST APIs, microservices, integration components, and data-processing workflows.
• Create clean, modular, maintainable code supported by automated unit and integration tests.
• Work with relational databases, including data modeling and SQL development.
• Connect services with enterprise applications, APIs, messaging platforms, and data sources.
• Investigate production issues, determine root causes, and implement fixes.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Follow secure coding, source control, CI/CD, and release-management practices.
• Help modernize applications and reduce technical debt.
• Use our approved AI coding assistants for development tasks such as code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and code analysis.
• Review and validate AI-generated code before using it, and follow our security, privacy, and data-handling requirements when working with AI tools.
