QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience designing automated tests using scripts that run testing functions.
• 8+ years of experience prioritizing test scenarios and developing execution plans.
• 8+ years of experience creating test plans and test cases, and preparing test environments.
• 8+ years of experience performing functional, application, and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies.
• Ability to interpret requirements documents and update test documentation accordingly.
• Familiarity with analysis, planning, and management reporting.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders during testing cycles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical groups.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Preferred: Experience testing healthcare applications and using Katalon software.
• Preferred: Experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and its document templates.
• Preferred: Familiarity with information architecture and information management methodologies, existing and planned software technologies, and global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
• Able to plan and accomplish goals independently, handle complex tasks with minimal supervision, and exercise creativity, judgment, and latitude in assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design automated tests by creating scripts that execute testing functions.

• Develop test plans and test cases, and prepare and maintain test environments.
• Perform moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
• Interpret requirements documents and update test documentation accordingly.
• Conduct analysis, planning, and management reporting activities.
• Work with technical and non-technical teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during test cycles as needed.
• Build and apply knowledge of the supported business area.
• Manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
