QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• 4–8 years of experience in SDET, test automation, software development, or a related engineering role
• Strong Python programming skills
• Hands-on experience building or improving test automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of software testing methods and automation best practices
• Experience with API testing and automation, and with automating tests for web applications or backend services
• Experience using Git or another version control system
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate with software developers and understand application architecture and code
• Preferred: Experience with AI tools, generative AI, or AI-assisted coding and testing, including using AI to create or improve automated test cases
• Preferred: Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks
• Preferred: Experience with PyTest or unittest
• Preferred: Experience with REST API automation tools such as Requests or Postman
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, containerized test environments, or performance and load testing
• Preferred: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based automated testing frameworks
• Create automation for functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and reusable Python code
• Work with software developers and QA engineers to understand application requirements and select suitable test strategies
• Build automation utilities, test libraries, and reusable testing components
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
• Develop automated validation for APIs, backend services, and web applications
• Improve test coverage, reliability, execution speed, and overall framework quality
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices
• Identify ways to reduce manual testing through automation
• Use modern AI tools and AI-assisted development and testing solutions to improve test creation, debugging, coverage, and productivity
• Troubleshoot automation failures and maintain test environments as needed
• Document automation frameworks, testing processes, and technical solutions
