Salesforce Architect/Sr. Administrator

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, primarily owning a production org
• Strong knowledge of Flow, Apex, and SOQL, with sound judgment about when to use declarative tools versus code
• Regular use of AI tools to accelerate solution design, automate routine administration, and deliver work faster
• Experience reducing technical debt without disrupting production
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms using REST or Bulk APIs, middleware such as n8n, Zapier, or Workato, or direct callouts
• Experience designing and maintaining security and data access controls
• Experience gathering business stakeholder requirements and translating them into working solutions
• DevOps experience with Copado or a similar tool
• Good judgment when handling sensitive client data in AI workflows
• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
• Must be based in the U.S.; we are unable to sponsor visas
• Preferred: Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Application/System Architect certification
• Preferred: Experience with Five9 or another major telephony platform
• Preferred: Experience replacing an AppExchange package with a custom solution
• Preferred: Based near Nashville

Responsibilities:

• Set the Salesforce orgs target-state architecture, data model, and roadmap
• Serve as design authority for changes and challenge solutions that could create future technical debt
• Maintain security, sharing, single sign-on, and least-privilege access controls for sensitive client data
• Build Flows and Apex hands-on, including with AI tools such as Claude Code
• Establish code review standards, test coverage expectations, and Copado deployment controls
• Identify and resolve technical debt, including overlapping automation, aging Apex, and unused fields
• Maintain AppExchange applications, including DocuSign, Omnito, Goat Email, and Distribution Engine
• Manage OwnBackup for backup, archiving, sandbox seeding, and recovery
• Assess which AppExchange applications justify their cost and which could be rebuilt in-house
• Build and manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including NetSuite, Five9, and the Wesley Client Portal
• Advise the platform engineering team on Salesforce

We are hiring a full-time Salesforce Architect/Senior Administrator to lead Wesley Financial Groups 350-user Salesforce org, our system of record for sales and client resolution. The role reports to our Director of Development, who previously managed the org for eight years and will provide a hands-on transition. Our platform engineering team is building products alongside Salesforce, beginning with the Wesley Client Portal, and we are open to evaluating long-term platform options as technology evolves. We use Claude Code daily and value expertise in reviewing AI-assisted work before it reaches production.
