SAP S/4HANA Implementation & Testing Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Manager-level experience supporting financial systems implementations, ERP transformations, or accounting system conversions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for financial systems.
• Strong experience with user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, defect management, issue remediation, and financial reporting validation.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex workbooks, data validation, reconciliations, and reporting analysis.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deliverables, and manage detailed testing activities with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across Accounting, Finance, and Technology teams.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience is preferred.
• Experience with SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office, insurance industry accounting, functional training materials, process documentation, ERP go-live, or post-implementation stabilization is preferred.
• CPA, CMA, other relevant professional certification, or Project Management and/or SAP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end accounting testing for the SAP S/4HANA implementation and go-live.
• Develop test strategies, scripts, scenarios, and validation procedures.
• Perform system integration, user acceptance, and regression testing, as well as post-implementation validation.
• Validate accounting workflows, general ledger activity, financial reporting outputs, and data integrity throughout implementation.
• Document test results, identify defects, coordinate issue resolution, and retest fixes through successful remediation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to investigate issues and verify system corrections.
• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of Excel-based reporting workbooks using SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office.
• Validate data connections, reporting outputs, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
• Assist with go-live readiness and post-implementation stabilization.
• Prepare accounting procedures, process documentation, and functional training materials to support adoption of new systems and processes.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to permanent Accounting team members.
• Help ensure accounting processes and reporting operate effectively after implementation.

The position partners with Accounting, Finance, and Technology teams in a fast-paced transformation environment and carries a W2 hourly rate of $85–$95; compensation considers skills, experience, and other relevant factors, and other employment options may have different pay arrangements.
