Senior Data Engineer - Hybrid

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in IT data engineering and analysis
• Ability to develop data solutions using SQL, Java, Spring Boot, and Python
• Familiarity with big data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, and GCP
• Ability to engineer data solutions with ETL tools or develop APIs
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
• Knowledge of secure software design and programming techniques
• Ability to debug code, troubleshoot, and analyze defects
• Understanding of data control frameworks and handling approaches
• Financial industry experience preferred
• IT risk, audit, or information security experience preferred
• Knowledge of the SAS AML or Actimize product suite preferred
• Candidates must be available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data and support deployments, enhancements, and system integrations using varied data patterns
• Partner with Solutions Architecture to recommend, develop, and implement solutions
• Review existing or proposed data sources, controls, security, scalability, and performance needs with clients and team members
• Design or modify software applications and specific modules
• Test new or customized data integrations to confirm they meet specifications, independently or with QA teams
• Document integration functions and changes, ingestion patterns, testing and results, error handling, and backup and recovery procedures
• Provide third-level support and assist lower-tier teams with maintenance and production issues
• Work in an Agile development environment and follow appropriate engineering methodologies
• Devise or modify procedures and software to address complex data problems, considering integrity, lineage, controls, and error handling
• Perform data analysis, coding, control design, testing, debugging, and documentation as needed
