Senior Developer

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or data systems is highly desirable.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service, or an equivalent level in the private sector, is highly desirable.
• Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintain qualifications for the designated Cyberspace Workforce role: Software Developer, Intermediate, in accordance with DoDM 8140.03.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
• U.S. citizenship and age 18 or older at the time of hire.
• Selective Service registration or exemption for males.
• Must be found suitable for federal employment, including completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
• Ability to travel within and outside the continental United States, potentially on military or commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities:

• Lead software development, data systems development, and DevOps initiatives; establish architectural standards and technical design specifications.
• Advance cloud migration and DevSecOps practices by integrating automated SAST/DAST security testing early in development and deploying, hardening, and managing Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Analyze complex business processes, consult with program officials, and turn functional requirements into clear technical assignments.
• Guide, train, and develop workforce capabilities across shared-resource and Agile project teams.
• Manage systems throughout their lifecycle, deliver updates in response to customer needs, and automate workflows across Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Azure, and GitLab CI.
• Modernize legacy systems and mentor cross-functional software development teams.
