Requirements:

  • We require 5+ years of experience in the healthcare payer domain and 5+ years of hands-on EDI development experience.
  • We require 3+ years of experience with the Edifecs suite, including XEngine, SpecBuilder, Trading Partner Management (TPM), and Validation & Compliance, plus 3+ years of hands-on experience with TriZetto HIPAA Gateway.
  • Hands-on experience with Facets Claims is mandatory; general healthcare, provider-side, or EDI experience without Facets Claims exposure does not meet this requirement.
  • We require practical experience developing, mapping, validating, and troubleshooting HIPAA X12 transactions, including 834; 837P, 837I, and 837D; 835; 270 and 271; 276 and 277; 278; 820; and TA1, 999, and 277CA acknowledgements.
  • We require experience with trading partner interfaces, EDI maps and validation rules, acknowledgements, and exception-handling workflows.
  • We require working experience with SQL Server or Oracle, Unix/Linux command-line operations, SFTP, batch processing, and API integrations with downstream systems.
  • We require the ability to prepare design documents, test cases, implementation guides, and support documentation.
  • We seek strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience with BizTalk Server; HL7/FHIR; MuleSoft or Boomi; Groovy, JavaScript, PowerShell, or shell scripting; BCBS or other payer environments; claims reconciliation, payment processing, enrollment interfaces, production EDI operations, or automated validation, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • We design, develop, enhance, and maintain healthcare EDI solutions using Edifecs, TriZetto HIPAA Gateway, BizTalk Server, or equivalent platforms.
  • We develop and optimize EDI maps, validation rules, routing logic, and transaction-processing workflows.
  • We implement and support HIPAA X12 transactions across claims, membership, enrollment, provider, and payment domains.
  • We support Facets Claims integrations, claims-related EDI processing, and downstream system interfaces.
  • We build and maintain trading partner integrations, including onboarding, connectivity, testing, certification, and production deployment.
  • We implement validation, error handling, acknowledgements, reconciliation, and exception management.
  • We support high-volume EDI processing and improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • We troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • We use SQL Server or Oracle to validate data, investigate issues, and support reconciliation.
  • We develop and maintain batch processes, SFTP integrations, and Unix/Linux shell scripts.
  • We support API-based integrations and data exchange using XML, XSD, JSON, and related technologies.
  • We collaborate with Facets teams, business analysts, QA, trading partners, and technical leads to deliver reliable integrations.
  • We prepare technical documentation, low-level designs, test cases, deployment plans, and support materials.
  • We participate in code reviews, testing, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • We uphold HIPAA requirements, development standards, quality controls, and project SLAs.
