  • Hands-on mastery of Apache Camel, including route design, exception handling, and custom processors; Java and Spring Boot; Apache Kafka, including event-driven architecture, partition strategies, consumer lag, offset management, and DLQ/reprocessing; and Google Apigee, including gateway policies, routing, traffic management, and tracing.
  • Experience with REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, and distributed integration patterns (EIP).
  • Proven experience implementing distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry or APM tools, structured logging, correlation IDs, and metrics and alerting frameworks.

  • Guide federated application teams by reviewing and optimizing Apache Camel routes, Kafka integrations, and API implementations.
  • Design, review, and implement error handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter queues, replay and reprocessing pipelines, idempotency patterns, timeouts, schema governance, and fault-tolerance practices.
  • Establish integration best practices and validate them through working code, reusable pattern libraries, diagnostic tools, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with application development, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and production support teams to improve transaction success rates, observability, and production stability.
