Senior Java Developer with BPM

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of IT experience with frontend and backend frameworks, including at least 7 years of core Java development and applying object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Experience with Java data structures, collections, multithreading, Oracle, and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, BPM, and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and React.js.
• Understanding of and experience implementing unstructured databases.
• Experience writing automated unit tests using TDD and creating end-to-end test suites with Protractor or a suitable alternative.
• Experience conducting system-wide and integration testing using JUnit and Cucumber.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, and EKS.
• Experience with ETL and Autosys.
• Experience working in iterative and incremental development processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred, but not required: Exposure to Devin, Copilot, or Claude; experience with PCF or Google Cloud Platform; banking or finance domain experience; and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase and Cassandra.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop APIs using Core Java, Spring, microservices design patterns, and other advanced technologies.
• Apply object-oriented programming concepts during application development.
• Develop application code and write unit and integration tests using JUnit.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, design teams, and downstream systems.
• Build cloud-native applications with container technologies such as Docker and deploy them to OpenShift or AWS EKS.
• Support production releases, monitor applications, and promptly investigate and triage issues.
